Event Description
Information was received from a company representative (rep) via a healthcare provider (hcp) regarding a patient receiving intrathecal baclofen (lioresal) 500 mcg/ml at 175 mcg/day via an implantable pump for unknown indication for use.It was reported that the pump kept alarming even with alarms turned off and no motor stall was showing in the logs.Contributing factors that may have led or contributed to the issue were listed as the patient was in a wheel chair.Diagnostics/troubleshooting performed included the company rep interrogated the pump and saw no stalls yet pump was alarming.Turned off alarms and pump kept alarming.The pump was replaced and the issue was resolved at the time of the report with patient's status being "alive-no injury".The patient's weight was 185 lbs and medical history was asked but made unknown.Additional information was recieved from the company representative and confirmed with the account on 2024-02-26 stating that they heard a critical alarm, but there was no event of a motor stall in the logs.
