Event Description
Medtronic received information regarding an imaging system being used in an unknown procedure.It was reported that the site smelled a "sulfur/bad smell" while the system was in use.The site did not know if it was coming from the image acquisition system (ias) or mobile view station (mvs).There was a patient present.The manufacturer representative (rep) stated that the sulfur smell was coming from a bad battery tray.The system was due for battery replacements on the system during a planned maintenance (pm) so the replacements were sent out to be performed during the pm.
