Event Description
It was reported that the patient had a backup battery fault on the primary system controller.The patient changed power sources, but it continued to persist.The patient was on the line with the ventricular assist device (vad) coordinator and did a system controller exchange.The exchange went well, and the patient was stable.The log files were submitted and showed backup battery fault alarms due to a failed backup battery load test.
