Event Description
It was reported that the stent bunched-up upon deployment. The 70% stenosed, chronically totally occluded target lesion was located in the mildly tortuous and moderately calcified aortic bifurcation at the lower limb.A 14x60x120 epic was advanced for treatment.During deployment, it was noted that the stent was deploying but in a cramped condition. The stent struts looked stacked and not properly opened.Post-dilatation was performed with a balloon to properly open and appose the stent to the vessel wall. The procedure was completed with a 12x60 mm epic stent. No patient complications were reported.
