Event Description
It was reported that the patient was having driveline (dl) power fault alarms since the early morning. The patient went to the clinic where first the system controller and then the modular cable were exchanged with no resolution to the alarms. The patient was then sent to get an x-ray on their driveline. The customer also reported that there were no visible kinks, twists, or compromises in the pump side of the driveline.Log files were submitted for review and captured dl power b faults on (b)(6) 2024.Additional log files were submitted after the controller was exhanged. These log files captured and confirmed the dl power b faults. On (b)(6) 2024 it was reported that the latest dl data remained the same with the power b line having issues conducting current. The power a line was working fine, and this issue had not caused any interruption in pump support. On 08mar24 the external pump side of the dl was inspected and cleaned as a precaution but did not resolve the power fault events. On (b)(6) 2024 the customer inquired about a potential dl repair but decided to instead permanently silence the alarm and monitor, and consider an exchange for the patient.
