|
Boston scientific received information that the patient with this right ventricular (rv) lead presented to the emergency department due to loss of capture (loc).Upon further review it was discovered this rv lead had dislodged.A revision procedure was performed wherein the lead was to be repositioned.Several attempts were made to affix the lead to the myocardium but were unsuccessful at which point the physician determined the connector tool used with the lead was no longer functioning appropriately.A manual tool was used and the lead successfully repositioned and affixed to the tissue.No additional adverse patient effects were reported.This system remains in service.
