Event Description
|
It was reported from (b)(6) that at the beginning of the surgery and before using on the patient, it was observed that the battery oscillator handpiece device started to run on its own.According to the report, the device started running on its own when it was switched on before the trigger was pressed.It was further reported that the device switched off when the trigger was pressed.It was not reported if there were any delays in a surgical procedure or if a spare device was available.It was not reported if there were any injuries, medical intervention or prolonged hospitalization.All available information has been disclosed.If additional information should become available, a supplemental medwatch report will be submitted accordingly.
