It was reported by the patient's family member, that a less than a month after implant, remote monitor transmission was unable to be sent.When the patient went into the clinic due to transmission issues, the clinician was unable to palpate the implantable cardiac monitor (icm) or find it with a programmer.An x-ray was done and the icm was no longer in the pocket and the clinician suspected twiddler's.The patient admitted that the icm "could be felt one day and not the next".The icm was replaced.No patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
