Event Description
It was reported that a patient was having generator replacement surgery, and the physician received a high impedance notification during normal mode diagnostics.System diagnostics were not performed to confirm the high impedance.However, the physician did notice that the patient's lead was visibly frayed and that the patient's tissue had grown into the lead.The physician did not replace the lead, and the patient is being considered for brain surgery at this time.The device history record was reviewed, and the lead performed according to all functional specifications.
