Manufacturer Narrative
|
(b)(4).Physio-control evaluated the customer's device and verified the reported issue.Physio replaced the therapy connector assembly and completed other, unrelated, repairs. After observing proper device operation through functional and performance testing the unit was returned to the customer for use.Physio-control further examined the removed therapy connector assembly and confirmed that there was a broken pin in socket 8 (charge switch). As a result of the broken pin being in socket 8, the device would be unable to charge via the charge button on the hard paddles assembly where the broken pin had originated from.Additionally, the broken pin in socket 8 would prevent a non-damaged set of hard paddles from being connected to the device.
