Event Description
|
The customer reported that this 3100b high frequency oscillating ventilator (hfov) was being used on a patient when the driver unexpectedly stopped.The device alarmed and the hfov was removed from the patient and alternate ventilation was provided by placing a known good unit on the patient.After the suspect unit was removed from the patient, the customer reported that the unit failed the patient circuit calibration.The customer stated that there was no patient injury or harm associated with this event.

The 3100b ventilator was due for the 6 year and 7 year preventative maintenance.A carefusion field service representative (fsr) arrived onsite to evaluate the device, however, the customer opted to not have the preventative maintenance procedures performed on the unit.
