Pre-op diagnosis: numbness in fingers procedure: suboccipital craniectomy at c1¿2, a laminectomy at c1, and a posterior spinal fusion at c1¿2 it was reported that: on (b)(6) 2008 the patient underwent a suboccipital craniectomy at c1¿2, a laminectomy at c1, and a posterior spinal fusion at c1¿2 using rhbmp-2.Reportedly, post-op, patient experienced new, severe pain and developed a staph infection.On an unknown date, status post the surgery, patients incision tore open.The patient was brought to the facility wherein he was tested positive for gram- and gram + staphylococcus, requiring the infectious disease unit to become involved in patient's treatment.On (b)(6) 2008 a surgeon closed patient's incision wound.Reportedly patient currently experiences worse pain than ever before, requiring pain medications, muscle relaxants, and constant monitoring and management.The patient has increased fear of cancer.
