Event Description
Information was received from a patient via a manufacturing representative with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for dystonia movement disorders.It was reported that the patient¿s ins had been turned off.When turning the ins back on the patient experienced a shocking sensation in their face/arms/hands.The patient lowered their settings using their programmer.Settings were lowered from 3.7 to 3.1v on the right side of body, and from 3.5 to 2.8v on the left.The patient reported that the decrease in settings made the symptoms not as bad, but they were still there.The symptoms went away after a couple minutes.The patient reported that they had swelling in their left chest where the ins was implanted.The patient had an appointment with their healthcare provider the next day.No complications or further complications were reported.
