Upon receipt at medtronic's quality laboratory, the conduit was in several pieces.Visual inspection revealed calcification and pannus.Radiography revealed severe calcification on the tissues.A good faith effort will be made to obtain the applicable information relevant to the report.If information is provided in the future, a supplemental report will be issued.
 
Event Description
Medtronic received information that 6 years post implant of this bioprosthetic valved conduit, the conduit was inactivated due to stenosis of the conduit.At that time, a transcatheter pulmonary bioprosthetic valve (tpbv) was implanted valve-in-valve.At 71.4 months post implant, both the conduit and the tpbv were explanted and replaced.No adverse patient effects were reported.
