A medtronic representative went to the site to test the equipment.It was reported that the rotor was slightly out of alignment, following adjustment and a recalibration, functionality was restored.The imaging system then passed the system checkout and was found to be fully functional.
 
Event Description
A site representative reported that, while in a spinal fusion, the gantry door on the imaging system was unable to close.It was reported that a noise emitted from the imaging system, similar to a "knocking" noise.It was noted that restarting the imaging system did not restore functionality.The surgeon opted to complete the procedure without the use of the imaging system.There was a reported delay to the procedure of twenty minutes due to this issue.There was no impact on patient outcome.No additional information was provided.
