No patient information provided as no patient was involved in this concern.A medtronic representative went to the site to test the equipment.The hardware, software, and instruments passed the system checkout.The system was found to be fully functional.It was not possible to duplicate the reported issue.No parts were replaced or returned to the manufacturer for evaluation.
 
Event Description
A site representative reported that, while outside of a procedure, when turning the imaging system on, the pendant was unresponsive and would not allow them to switch from 2d to 3d.The site rebooted the system and the issue resolved.There was no patient present when this issue was observed.
 
Manufacturer Narrative
The logs for the navigation system were reviewed by medtronic personnel.However, the logs provided no additional insight into the probable cause of the anomaly.The software investigation found that a probable cause was unable to be determined without further information since the on-going investigation proved to be inconclusive based on the information provided.

Correction: manufacture date has been updated.If information is provided in the future, a supplemental report will be issued.
