Event Description
|
It was reported that the right ventricular (rv) lead exhibited high and fluctuating impedance on the high voltage coil. When the lead was explanted and tested with an analyzer noised was also noted. At the midpoint of the lead an insulation breach was intentionally created to facilitate the introduction of a new lead. The lead was successfully explanted and replaced. No patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
