Event Description
|
The customer reported that the insulin pump received compromised force sensor system alarm, insulin was squirting out during the manual prime process and drive support cap was loose.The customer¿s blood glucose level was 386 mg/dl.The customer was treated with manual injection for high blood glucose level.The customer reported that the drive support cap was loose and it was able to push it in and found that it was sticking out.Customer was advised to discontinue use of the device and revert to a back-up plan.The customer was advised that the device would be replaced and agreed to return the insulin pump for analysis.

Pump passed the displacement test but alarmed compromised force sensor system during the basic occlusion test due to loose/protruded drive support disk.Unable to perform the occlusion, prime and excessive no delivery test or verify prime/fill anomaly due to the compromised force sensor system alarm.
