Event Description
Information was received from a consumer regarding a patient with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for the treatment of parkinson's disease and movement disorders.It was reported the patient had been experiencing a lot of "off times" and was referring to the patient experiencing a return of symptoms beginning 3-5 days prior.It was reported there was a "sync with neurostimulator" screen on the patient programmer.It was reported stimulation was on but it felt like the device was not working.Later, the consumer called back.During the call the caller inquired what the sync up screen meant on the patient programmer.Information was reviewed.During the call the caller was instructed on how to sync and was able to sync the patient programmer with the ins.The patient programmer showed stimulation was "on" and the battery level was "ok" at 75%.The healthcare professional had not provided the patient with the ability to change groups.No further complications were reported or anticipated.
