Currently it is unknown whether or not the device may have caused or contributed to the event.The device has been returned, but not yet evaluated.Further information will follow once the analysis has been completed.No conclusion can be drawn at this time.

Event Description

Customer reported via phone call device not working and blank display.The customer's blood glucose was unknown at the time of call.Trouble shooting was performed found display did not return.Advised the insulin pump will need to be replaced.Advice to discontinue use of the device and revert to backup plan.The insulin pump will be returned for analysis.

This mdr related to the puerto rico manufacturing site has been assigned a medwatch number from the medtronic minimed northridge site, per variance 5.A complete analysis and testing of the insulin pump showed that it was functioning properly and passed all functional testing.After testing it was concluded that the device operated within specifications.
