Event Description
Information was received from a consumer regarding a patient with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for fecal incontinence and gastrointestinal/pelvic floor who reported that the patient encountered a power on reset (por) condition of the ins.The patient indicated that therapy was "doing its job of sense of awareness and warning," but the patient was unsure if therapy was providing 50% or better relief. The patient was trying to get better results with the nerve being more stimulation and help with bowel and bladder with trying a different program. The patient indicated that the do a lot of physically demanding and strenuous and that they had x-rays done over the past 2 years, but did not turn off the ins prior to the x-rays.The patient was advised that they would need to follow-up with their healthcare provider (hcp) and the patient noted that when the patient programmer (pp) was used during the call the patient had never used the pp so the batteries had to be replaced.Patient status is unknown at the time of this report. There were no further complication reported or anticipated.
