Medtronic received information that 10 years and 5 months post implant of this aortic bioprosthetic valve, the valve was explanted and replaced with a bioprosthetic valve of the same model.The physician reported the replacement was due to a false aneurysm caused by wall separation of the right coronary ostium. old and recent thrombus was noted at the false aneurysm.It was also reported that the right coronary ostium was completely separated from the bioprosthetic root, the entire right sinus of valsalva was missing, and attempts to mobilize the inflamed left coronary ostium failed.No additional adverse patient effects were reported.
