Manufacturer Narrative
A medtronic representative went to the site to test the equipment.Testing revealed that the reported issue could be confirmed. It was noted that the door switch was replaced to restore functionality. The imaging system then passed the system checkout and was found to be fully functional. The door switch has not been received by the manufacturer for evaluation.

Event Description
Medtronic received information that, while in a spinal fusion, the gantry door of the imaging system would not close completely. It was noted that there was a small gap in the panel doors.Restarting the imaging system resolved the gap issue, however the display noted the door was still open.Restarting the imaging system multiple times with the interface (umbilical) cable disconnected did not restore functionality. The surgeon opted to complete the procedure without the use of the imaging system. There was a reported delay to the procedure of less than 1 hour due to this issue. There was no reported impact on patient outcome. No additional information was provided.
