Boston scientific received information that this cardiac resynchronization therapy pacemaker (crt-p) declared a lead safety switch (lss) due to high out of range pacing impedances on the right ventricular (rv) lead, measuring greater than 2000 ohms. The patient's rv lead was a non-boston scientific product.Noise was observed on the rv lead after the pace impedance spikes occurred. The rv lead configuration was reprogrammed, and the physician elected to continue to monitor the patient/system.This crt-p system remains in service. No adverse patient effects were reported.
