It was reported that in-stent restenosis occurred. An 8mm x 21mm carotid wallstent was previously implanted on an unknown date in distal carotid artery. It was observed on a later date that there was 60% stenosis within the carotid wallstent.Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty was performed using non-bsc balloon catheter.Subsequently, a non-bsc protection device was placed.Stenting was then attempted with an 8mm x 29mm carotid wallstent.Resistance was encountered and the stent was not able to be inserted.Angiography was performed, sufficient dilation was obtained, so the procedure was completed as it was.No patient complications were reported.
