Event Description
Medtronic received information that during use of an 22fr eopa arterial cannula, it was noted that when the device was being placed in the aorta the surgeon noted a kink in the cannula.The surgeon decided to continue with the cannula by staking it with pliers and guides.The cannula was used to complete the case.There was no reported patient adverse effect.
