Event Description
|
Information was received from a consumer regarding a patient who was implanted with a neurostimulator. It was reported that the right lead hasn't worked for years and the patient wasn't sure if the current healthcare professional (hcp) wants to correct the issue surgically. The patient stated that the original hcp had trouble implanting the device, the patient was on the table for 3 hours, and the hcp nicked the spinal fluid sac.Due to this, the patient was in the hospital for a week after the implant. There were no further complications or anticipations reported with this event.
