Event Description
|
Physician used venaseal for treatment of the patient's left great saphenous vein (gsv).Patient returned to a follow-up appointment one week later.Erythema was noted on the patient¿s left leg during this follow-up appointment.The patient was given 1% topical cortisone cream with instructions to apply twice a day.The patient called the physician the next day to complain of further development of the rash.The patient saw a primary care physician who gave the patient 2% cortisone cream as well as systemic oral steroids.The patient had a follow up visit 5 days later, where the patient complained of a rash on the legs and back of the head.Upon the physician's inspection, there was no rash on the back of the patient's neck.The patient was offered another repeat round of prednisone and benadryl.No further injury reported.
