No conclusive evidence has been provided that supports or opposes that fact that the patient aspirated a piece of an invisalign system aligner.This event is being filed as an mdr as this event appears to have been serious in nature to the patient.
 
Event Description
The patient reported swallowing a piece of the aligner.The patient reported visiting the hospital, and was sedated to have their lungs examined by a bronchoscopy.During the examination scratches were found in the lungs, but the aligner piece was not found.The patient did not report requiring any medical intervention to alleviate the reported symptom.The treatment was discontinued on (b)(6) 2020.
