Clinical Trials Conducted Outside of the U.S.
FDA regulations regarding the use of foreign data in clinical trials can be found under CFR 21, Part 312.120. There has been a significant increase in the amount of foreign data submitted in support of new drug applications in the United States. It is estimated that approximately 40 to 65 percent of FDA-regulated clinical trials have been conducted outside of the United States.
