Drug Quality Reporting System (DQRS)
The Drug Quality Reporting System (DQRS) provides consumers and healthcare professionals with a mechanism to report marketed drug quality problems. DQRS protects the public health by identifying product quality issues that require corrective action, identifying significant health hazards and detecting industry problems - specific and general.
DQRS reporting:
- Is voluntary
- Most reports are received from health care workers -- pharmacists, physicians and nurses
- Reports are received by mail, phone, fax or internet
- Quality issues may result in sample collection or inspection.
