The glidescope avl video baton 3-4 was returned to verathon for evaluation along with the corresponding glidescope avl 1.0 monitor.A verathon technical service representative evaluated both the returned video baton and monitor, but was unable to reproduce the reported issue.The glidescope avl 1.0 monitor and glidescope avl video baton 3-4 were returned to the customer on completion of the evaluation.No further investigation is required at this time.Verathon will continue to monitor for trends.
 
Event Description
The customer reported that during a patient procedure, using a glide scope avl video baton 3-4, it would intermittently reboot while the device was in use, and they would lose picture on the screen.When the biomed tested it out on his own he identified that the picture was jumpy when the baton was manipulated.No delay in the procedure, use of a backup device, or harm to the patient, or user was reported.
