Event Description
Information was received from a healthcare professional (hcp) via a manufacturer representative (rep) regarding a patient with an implanted neurostimulator (ins).It was reported that an impedance check of the lead was carried out after a new ins was connected to the lead.During the impedance check a message alert on the programmer said the ins was low battery flashed up.A battery check was performed twice.On both occasions, the battery capacity on the brand new out of the box ins read between 28%-48% only.Another ins was opened up with the same expiry date and a battery check was carried out and the ins showed 28-48%.The ins remained implanted and another battery check was performed 3 hours post implant with the same results of 28-48% battery capacity.The issue was not resolved the time of this report.

Event Description
Additional information was received from a manufacturer representative (rep).The rep reported that the patient in question was advised on the day of their implant that their battery may not last as long as expected.Due to covid restrictions that was the last contact with the patient.The manufacture representative was due to attend the clinic at this center and had asked for this patient to be called so they can check the battery life.

Information was received from multiple sources (manufacturer representative, healthcare provider) regarding a patient who was implan ted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for unknown indications for use.It was reported that rep attended the center in question today to support some battery replacement cases.An interstim 2 has just been implanted, and shows 28-47% capacity.The rep question instead of multiple batteries being the problem, could this be an issue with the n¿vision ) incorrectly interrogating interstim 2 device? no further patient complications are anticipated or expected as a result of this event.
