Event Description
Material no: unknown batch no: unknown it was reported that patients are presenting with dermatitis after surgery.Event description per attached email states: our hospital in ri has been using chloraprep for many years and i have noticed a significant problem with pt having dermatitis after surgery - the only pt that seems to have this problem are breast reduction - initially, i had stopped the pre-op use of hibiclen which has been required by our hospital - this decreased the incidence of dermatitis but did not eliminate it - recently, the hospital required me to start again the pre-op hibiclen and have noticed an increase in incidence of dermatitis - do you have any data on this - could you have a rep contact me concerning this very difficult problem for our patients.
