The suspect device was returned to olympus and evaluated.The reported problem was confirmed and the cause determined to be the igniter board igniting intermittently, which may cause a delay in the signal to ignite the main xenon lamp.
 
Event Description
A user facility reported to olympus that the light was flashing when auto brightness was engaged.There was no patient injury or harm, associated with the problem, reported to olympus.

Based on additional information provided by the user facility, it has been determined that this incident has previously been reported on report #8010047-2021-02582 (internal file (b)(4)).This report has been determined to be a duplicate.
