Event Description
It was reported that the patient had a positive skin prick test to chlorhexidine.Per email: as part of the allergy study, he had a positive skin prick test for chlorhexidine and an intradermal positive test for ondansetron and unfractionated heparin. An indeterminate result was found for penicillin. We did not proceed with the drug provocation test based on the latest recommendations. In our patient, the clinical picture, the elevated dynamic mast cell tryptases and the positive skin tests for heparin, ondansetron and chlorhexidine were suggestive of ige-mediated hypersensitivity to these drugs.
