Event Description
|
It was reported that during the stage 3 dbs implant procedure while implanting the implantable pulse generator ipg and the lead extensions there was a potential short noticed on contacts 4 and 6 of the left lead. The extension at the battery ports was switched out to make sure the battery was good. The shorts followed. The extension was exported and replaced with another one, and there was still a potential short at contact 4 and 6.The physician decided not to remove the lead as he believed the short may have likely been caused by fluid and hoped it would clear.
