Event Description
According to the reporter, during laparoscopic gallbladder cancer resection, enterodialysis, and abdominal puncture catheterization, the skin stapler partially deploy, but the staples got stuck in the end of the staple and some were not formed properly.The laparoscopic surgery was converted to open procedure due to device problem.Another device was used to complete the case.
 
Event Description
According to the reporter, during laparoscopic gallbladder cancer resection, enterodialysis, and abdominal puncture catheterization, the skin stapler partially deployed, but the staples got stuck in the end of the staple and some were not formed properly.The laparoscopic surgery was converted to open procedure (intestinal adhesion release, abdominal puncture and catheterization), but not because of the device issue.An x-ray was also performed as per normal postoperative examination.Another device was used to complete the case.There was no patient injury.
