Information was received from a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for urinary dysfunction/sacral nerve stim and gastrointestinal/ pelvic floor.It was reported that during related call: the patient said they had their prior bladder stimulator for 5 years and when they had to replace their bladder stimulator, before it quit working, before they could replace it they had to take the whole thing out because it corroded.They clarified, the wire for the bladder stimulator had to be replaced because the wire corroded and the ins was replaced.The patient was redirected to their healthcare provider to further address the issue.Note when asked the date when the lead corroded the patient said it was replaced on (b)(6) 2019.
