Event Description
Information was received from a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for gastrointestinal/ pelvic floor.It was reported that device has not really been working for the past maybe month.Pt reports is not feeling stimulation and is "maybe" getting a 50% or greater symptom relief.While connecting to implant, pt mentioned it sits side ways and hcp is aware it may need to be corrected.Pt reports realized it sits side ways 3-4 months ago.Pt had stim turned off for mri, agent walked pt through turning stim on by deactivating mri mode.Pt mentioned seeing device location on the wrong side on the mri mode screen.Pt was redirected to hcp to program.Pt reports does not feel stim for one second then it is intense the next second.Pt decreased stim.Confirmed stimulation in bicycle seat area and comfortable.Patient will maintain stimulation level and will continue to track symptoms.The patient mentioned unrelated medical history.This included pt reports is getting a brain scan since forgetting things.
