It was reported when opening the inner sterile packaging; the surgical nurse discovered a hair on the adhesive edge of the peel pack.The inlay was not implanted.No adverse events have been reported as a result of the malfunction.Attempts have been made and additional information on the reported event is unavailable at this time.

(b)(4).(b)(6).Customer has indicated that the product is in process of being returned to zimmer biomet for investigation.Once the investigation has been completed, a follow-up mdr will be submitted.

This follow-up report is being submitted to relay additional information.The following sections were updated/corrected updated: d4; d9; h2; h3; h6 visual evaluation of the returned product identified that product was returned with opened sterile packaging and there is hair-like debris in sterile packaging.Review of the device history records identified no deviations or anomalies during manufacturing related to the reported event.Root cause was unable to be determined.If any further information is found which would change or alter any conclusions or information, a supplemental report will be filed accordingly.Zimmer biomet will continue to monitor for trends.
