The tip of the viperwire guidewire fractured and was snared.

The results of the investigation are inconclusive since the reported device was not returned for analysis.Based on the information received, the cause of the reported event could not be conclusively determined.Repeated attempts were made to contact the facility to obtain information, but no response was received.The material inspection report for the reported guide wire could not be reviewed, as the lot number was not provided.Csi id: (b)(4).
 
Event Description
The tip of the viperwire guidewire fractured after the orbital atherectomy device contacted the spring tip during treatment of a severely calcified left anterior descending artery.The wire fragment was snared.The patient was well.
