Event Description
|
It was reported that the patient had an infection at the ipg, implantable pulse generator, site and underwent an explant of the ipg and the lead extensions.The patient had redness and swelling of the site.The physician stated that the infection is not device related.Cultures were taken but the results are unknown.The patient was placed on an antibiotic regiment.The devices will not be returned for analysis as they were disposed of by the facility.
