Event Description
|
It was reported that the wireless recharger (wr) will intermittently lose a connection to the implantable neurostimulator (ins), and the wr will beep as it searches for the ins.The patient confirmed they are able to reestablish the connection by repositioning the wr, but it tends to lose the connection again if they move slightly. The patient denied dropping the wr or getting it wet prior to this issue, and they also denied experiencing any falls or trauma prior to the connectivity issue. However, the patient did mention that in the last 1-2 months they noticed the ins may have dropped down a little bit from where it was originally implanted.Agent reviewed that there may be an association between the intermittent connectivity issue and the ins potentially being lower than its original location, and advised the patient to further address the issue with their healthcare provider.During the call, the wr found the ins right away and charged the ins (uninterrupted) for 2-3 minutes before it lost connection and started to beep. The patient was able to reestablish the connection after they repositioned the wr.Agent had the patient reset the wr to see if it might help with the connectivity issue, but still encouraged the patient to follow up with their healthcare provider.
