It was reported that during a cryo ablation procedure, after isolation of the left superior pulmonary vein (lspv) with a balloon catheter, the patient changed from sinus rate to atrial flutter. The surgeon judged that the atrial flutter was around the tricuspid valve and could not be ablated by a balloon catheter, so the case was switched to and completed with radiofrequency. no further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
