Event Description

A venaseal closure system was used for the treatment of the short saphenous vein (ssv).It is not known how many segments were treated but it is known that 22cm was treated.The ifu was followed.The patient also received sclerotherapy in the area approx one month post procedure. on the ultrasound approx 6 months and one year later it was noted to have two large lumps in calf away from the access site.Patient was treated with prednisone approx 6 months post procedure and during follow up approx one year later the patient reported the calf was tender.No furhter patient injury reported for this event.
