Event Description
Information was received from healthcare provider (hcp) via a manufacturer representative regarding a patient having posterior fusion (pf) for cervical thoracic metastatic malignancy.Level at which implant was performed: c4 to th4 it was reported that the tip of shaft t25 was broken during the final tightening of the non-break set screw using the reported products.The broken tip was stuck in the set screw, making extraction difficult.Therefore, it was retained inside the body at the discretion of the physician.There was a delay in the procedure by less than 60 mins. there was no patient symptom reported.There were no further complications reported regarding the event.
