It was reported that at the end of treatment with an ak 96 machine, a weight gain of 7.3kg was observed on a patient.The patient was admitted to the hospital for observation and extra dialysis to remove the extra fluid.Two additional dialysis treatments were required (one on the same day and one two days later) to remove excess fluid.At the time of this report, the patient has been discharged with no further discomfort.There was no report of patient injury or medical intervention associated with this event.No additional information is available.
