Event Description
Philips received a complaint on the v60 ventilator indicating that the alternating current (ac) power switching was not working.The device was reported to be outside of use at the time of the reported problem.No patient harm reported.The customer informed the remote service engineer (rse) that the device operates on battery, but would not switch to ac power.The customer stated that 24v dc was not present at the output of the power supply.The customer was provided guidance on how to remove the power supply ac shroud.The customer then verified that ac power was present at the input to the power supply.The customer was provided with the part information for the power supply and power supply shroud.The customer was informed of performance verification testing requirements following replacement of the power supply per table 9-2 in the service guide.Upon a follow up the customer confirmed that they had ordered the recommended parts and was still waiting on the arrival of the replacement parts.The investigation concludes that no further action is required at this time.If additional information is received the complaint file will be reopened.
