|
Hcp reported that during operation, placed a 2mm curved burr in the unit and couldn't get out.There was no patient impact.Upon follow-up, the bur was broken at the customer site.As per the visao drill analysis result fragments of curved bur stuck inside handpiece.

Additional information received, the fragments of the broken bur were stuck in shaft assembly and also cleaning tools were stuck inside the housing of the handpiece.

Additional information received, the customer has reported that they were unsure when the breakage occurred, and that it was just stuck, but said it most likely would have occurred when attempting to remove the bur during decontamination away from the case.They reported once the surgeon could not remove the bur, they stopped using it and replaced the whole drill handpiece.
